A humble and quiet man who could just power a baseball out of the park.
When there were only two leagues back in the 50's, my national league team was the Milwaukee Braves.
Aaron, Burdette, Logan, Matthews, Spahn, Adcock, Schoendienst.  Beat the hated Yankees (ptuh).
Hank was the best wrist hitter I ever saw.  Deserved all the honors and more for his courage against the bigots and racists who sought to tear him down.
Rest easy, Hammer, your journey is at rest now and your legacy forever secure. angel

I remember the chase for The Babe and him getting 715. A hell of a ball player.

In his early years before the majors he played ball in Eau Claire WI at Carson Park.  There is a nice huge statue of him entering the ball field area.  Although I do not remember him playing into the 70's being too young to remember, he surely faced the challenges of his life with the utmost dignity and respect.

Another good one lost recently and just heard Larry King died and few days ago Ted Thompson from the Packers.  2021 is not starting out on a good note.   Cry

watched some old homerun derbys a few months ago it seemed like Hank never lost.  watch some of those old derbys and its really nice to see how classy the old ballplayers were. Unlike today where every one has to be put down,  rip Hank you were great
