Looks like Rock Creek, Lorena, and Groesbeck could be knocked out with one loop...

Sorry for the slow response - I've been Model A-ing.
I'd love to ride to Bridgeport, or anywhere else for that matter, but my wheels are at the powder coaters. I'll pick them up by noon Friday and then it's mini-wrench party time (my wheels & Fred's HD light bar). Barring unforeseen difficulties, I should be back riding by bedtime Friday. Saturday is open. Sunday would have to be an early departure & early return.

The previous owner did not keep the wheels clean and allowed both to become discolored and etched. Not a huge deal except for the contrast between the final drive cover and the rear wheel. I used wax with cleaners, rubbing and polishing compound, metal polish, and finally ultra-fine sandpaper but was never satisfied with either the quality of my work or my access to all the affected areas. So, remove, powder coat, and replace. There is a longer thread down the board somewhere.
Two more hands would be welcome with the fairing & light bar.

How much did that powder coating slow you down, Dave? Big dip in mileage? ~Jeff

If anything slowed me down, it was the Jaegerschnitzel, Oktoberfest, Killipitsch, & Berenjaeger from Friday night. Those and the burger, rings, and chocolate malt at Yesterday's.
There was a dip in mileage but I'm not sure if it is related to ambient temperature, spacers, or calipers... All the threads I've read about fuel grade say there is no need for premium, but it seems (after only a few tanks) like I'm not getting the same mileage on regular.
The powder coating sure made last night's carwash episode easier.

Hey Subman,
Is there a generic, full sized texas map of the Everywhere towns? If not, what did you use to make this one, it's really helpful. I plotted them by hand...and, while usefull, it's ugly as hell.
Thanks, David.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I didn't see your question. I made this map using my GPS software (map source), after placing the way points on the map, I did a screen shot, and saved. FYI if you didn't know, you can press the print screen button on your keyboard, open any image software, and paste. You will have whatever was on your screen. I don't know if there is one for the entire state, I have not made one. Terry

Sorry it took so long to reply, I didn't see your question. I made this map using my GPS software (map source), Roger that, I thought it looked familiar...I just really, really hate that software. I've never found a less friendly piece of mapping software. I'm going to give a shot at updating it, maybe the newer versions are friendlier.

I just checked Mapquest, and it appears there is an option there ("hide routing") that allows you to map a route and just show the waypoints, without all the roads in between. I think I'll start working up a list of remaining target towns, and post the results later on. Mark
