Hello:
I'm planning on adding a Tourer tail light to my '01 IS.  Does anyone know if any Year Tourer tail light fit the existing cutout on my '01 IS or do I need to get one from an '01 Tourer to fit?
Thanks,
Terry

Fenders are the same. All.

Any year will do.

While time consuming, a careful check of multiple years' parts fishes should show the same part numbers.

However (caveat), there are some parts that Honda changed over the production years of Valks, that are interchangeable with earlier years, but the newer parts got new part numbers. And sometimes the old parts were discontinued, and sometimes they weren't.

Some other Honda motorcycles (from the Valk years) have the exact same lens cover, but the mount bracket was slightly different (though some made them fit in the Valk OK).

Also, I can't remember, but at least one and maybe two short wiring harness parts (from the standard/tourer) are also good to order as well.   Not spendy.

You'll need sub-harness A and sub-harness B replaced. Interstate harnesses lack the tail light wiring (orange and gray rectangles in graphic).

I have done a couple of them. Any year standard or tourer will work.

ALSO, Some Honda Shadows use the same tail light, with a different mounting bracket. It takes about 15-20 minutes and basic hand tools, a vise, and a drill to make it work for a Valk. You can usually find the shadow light for about half the price of a Valkyrie one on Pinwell.
