Hey y'all,
So after rebuilding the carbs due to a leak in the number 5, new gaskets,  new low-speed jets, new needles, springs, sync and red-eye shiny desmog, I got the bike to run and start right up.  This is after pulling the carb bank twice since I had trouble getting her started the first time.
Compression is good, spark, air, etc. But she's leaking fuel pretty heavily from the right side carb bank and it looks like it's coming from both the #3&6 carbs.  I suspected the rail o-rings, but I'm done at this point.
No clutch now, so could have a leak in the slave cylinder or just need to really bleed the system.
Also need fork seals redone soon.

I'm running out of patience (and so is my GF) with not having a bike - especially after moving to Hill country!

Looking for a good and reasonable tech/shop that can help.  I'm in Canyon Lake/New Braunfels between Austin and San Antonio.  Can trailer the bike wherever.
Thanks so much in advance for your help!  Love this forum.

the ATTIC RAT in Oklahoma knows what he is doing--my local Honda shop failed badly and they were supposed to be the best around

Howdy Mitch!

Wish I could help out on a shop recommendation here in the Hill Country, but I honestly cannot.  I do all my own work and Hildr the Valkyrie hasn't had anyone else touch her since '08 (when I purchased her).

Old Geezer in San Antonio used to trust an independent mechanic with his Valk, but I don't know who that was.  Maybe Old Geezer will see this post, or someone else from San Antonio who knows who that was, and respond.

It's rare to find a mechanic who understands these ol' Fat Ladies and even rarer to find a Honda dealer who can confidently work on them.  That's why I do all my own work

Good luck!

Milestone Motorcycles in Austin did a good carb job on my 99 standard for a fair price.  512.608.4596.
