No riding, eh? I see a trailer in your profile pic. Let's take the lid off and you can ride in the trailer. We'll pack you in pillows and strap you in just in case the pain meds make you drowsy.  Roll Eyes

Looks like they used a chain saw on you.  They used super glue on my incision, barely left a scar.  Get well soon.  I sold my Valk and am riding a Spyder now.

You might want to look at getting a peg re-locator kit. I think it drops the peg 1 inch and moves it forward 1 inch. Can't remember if it is an inch or a half inch, but it changed the leg position enough so that I was able to ride, after my knee replacement. I did end up getting a Valkyrie trike. No more holding the bike up at red lights and stop signs. really great if they show up on a hill.

I'm sure that picture just looks worse than it is.  The Zipline closure system takes a bad picture and especially with the dried blood underneath.  Zipline is supposed to leave a better cosmetic effect than staples, etc.

Heal up man and REHAB!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never seen or heard of the zip line.  Weird, to say the least! they are coming off Monday!  The rehab has been helping. I'll keep ya posted.

My assumption Steve is that everything will clean up nice when they pull off the zipline and you can hose it off.

I'm thinking about giving up riding all together.  I will be doing the next knee replacement in 5-6 months.  My balance is off. Plus, just,TOO  many people I know have gone down. Wall's post pretty much some's it up. I could NOT take a spill like that. I'm thinking like you, a Jeep , take off the top, take off the doors,  remove a few bolts and lower the wind shield.  The traffic on the Cape so far has been a nitemare, and summer is coming! However, I love my Valkyrie!!!!  GOOD news is ,, I don't need chemo as of now!!

Ain't nothing wrong with making that decision on your own Steve, and not having an unfortunate incident make that decision for you.
We will still get the bike out occasionally for a ride up Rt. 1 and lunch on the docks in Lubec or Eastport...Too much stupid traffic for me to be doing a lot of riding on the bike.
Hope you're fortunate enough to remain chemo-free Steve....it is what keeps me alive and cancer free for now. I'm not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with chemo, but that's Ok too !!!
Take Care Steve, hope your recovery is quick and successful.
