That diesel tractor was pretty hot too. Most all new Corvettes are sold before they are made with a lot of people waiting a year to have delivery of their new ride. Looks like Corvette Museum delivery would have been a better choice for these expectant owners.

Yikes...would like to hear the story behind that mishap , must've been a sight for sure.

Corvette museum...visited it when I rode through KY several years back. Pretty cool overall, including the display of the sinkhole and how they show all the damaged vettes

Chevrolet spokesman said: "On Tuesday evening, a hauler carrying a load of new Corvettes caught fire in Tennessee after the driver pulled into a truck stop to investigate an issue with the truck. Fortunately, the driver of the truck is okay. Our vehicle logistics supplier is investigating. As we learn more, we will reach out to affected dealers and customers."

I got a chuckle from a comment made on the link Serk provided. “These Corvettes will be offered at just $5k over sticker”!

Ask and Ye shall receive... Thanks!
Valiant, but vain attempt by those firefighters trying to douse burning fiberglass, etc with water. Wonder if those vettes will become a separate display at the museum now.

Those will probably not buff out.

I predict fun times at the truck owner and insurance company meeting.

What do you mean it was an act of God????  (and not covered)

Didn't you ever read the Old Testament?    Grin

I do feel for the customers that have been waiting on their new 'Vette.
Over the years I've never been much of a car guy. I will acknowledge a nice car, new or classic but I love Motorcycles. Well, this new designed 'Vette is a different story. This new 'Vette is gorgeous and boy would I like to own a convertible.

On a related subject, I watch most of the Street Outlaws shows and recently they had an episode where Big Chief, JJ and Kye Kelly were in Vegas and they rented a C8 Corvette, Challenger, Hellcat and a Mustang something or other. I know a lot of things are “staged”  but the Corvette was pretty much unbeatable no matter who was driving it. Pretty impressive for a car that really isn’t designed for drag racing.
