For those too young to remember and those too old to forget.  The WKRP turkey drop.

I think I might be the only person on Earth that just doesn't find that funny... I'll give it another shot just to see if I'm overlooking something but....

Not saying those of you who do shouldn't enjoy it, by all means go for it, just I don't get it...

If you weren't a fan of the show or a regular watcher of the show, you would not find it that humorous and probably find the episode kind of tacky.

But if you were a fan of the show, knew the quirks of the characters and followed the series, and I did pretty much, it is hilarious.

That could explain things.... I looked it up, the show started airing when I was 6 and ended when I was 10... Never been a big TV watcher, but especially in that time frame if it wasn't animated I likely wasn't interested...

You’re right. It’s not a skit a random viewer may find humorous without knowing the characters and the show. It also may be it may not be in some people’s humor wheelhouse which is understandable too.

I liked WKRP, Loni was HOT, Bailey was cute, Johnny and Venus were cool, Herb was the classic stereotypical salesman of the time and the Big Guy just made you shake your head with some of his lines. The rest of the cast filled out the show real well, who can forget Les and his quirky way of reporting the news…my favorite was his mispronunciation of Chi Chi Rodriguez.

or 'the Jeffersons'  or 'Archie Bunker - All in the Family' or 'Alice' or 'Sanford and Son' or 'Welcome Back Kotter'  or 'Good Times'  all great TV shows I watched as a young kid.

Yah,  Serk you must not have watched much TV as a young kid since I am just a couple years older than you and remember them all very well, even still watching 'MASH' re-run episodes some 40 years later....

all of them sure beat the 'reality star' TV shows they have on nowadays.
