Few more brief updates he's posted on Facebook, copying 'em verbatim:

"O2 turned down to 30 litres . And 75 % o2."

"No sleeping. Worn out."

"More steroids and vitamins. Another blood thinner in the belly."

"Lungs sound improved."

"If I had.nt come to hospital I'd be in icu intubated and close to dead"

"Another 2 hour uv resmesdevir plugged in."

Lord, touch him and heal him, and raise him up stronger than ever. Please send the perfect ministers across his path. Guard him and keep him in all his ways. Give the doctors wisdom to properly deal with this illness. Give the enemy and this illness no place against him. Healing is the children's bread, and by Your stripes he was healed. Now allow his body to function in the perfection it was created to function in. Thank you Lord for a good report, because a man of faith always has a good report. In the name of Jesus, AMEN.

First, prayers for you Britman.  You have quite a family behind you.

Second, I don’t know if this is the standard or hospital specific …. I have a dear friend in Colorado who is also hospitalized with COVID. The nurse told me yesterday that once they can get the oxygen down to 6 lpm, that she can be released.  If I read the above correctly, they dropped Britman 10 lpm at one time.  Is that correct?  If so, that is super encouraging.

Hang in there buddy!

Glad to hear you're still on the upside!

Curious/nosey, has there been any discussion as to why you're not getting the monoclonal antibody treatments? Was the disease too far progressed to bother with them or something else?

Thanks for keeping us updated!

You're in my prayers.  My youngest brother and his wife had it when it first started going around and both ended up in the hospital on oxygen.  They're  all better now and praying the same for you.

I have been following the thread and praying for you. We lost our son-n-law about 5 weeks ago. I'm so glad you are beating this thing. Kathy and myself both had it, but didn't have to go to the hospital. Kathy was close to going. Again so glad you are headed home.

If you ever wonder who loves you more, your dog or your wife/girlfriend there's a simple test.

Lock them both in the trunk of your car.

Come back in 12 hours and open the trunk, see which one is happy to see you.

It's been many years since I visited a hospital, but given the exorbitant expense involved, I always liked to take home a couple nice small surgical scissors, tweezers, hemostats they leave laying around with me as a memory of my holiday there.  That stainless stuff is as nice as you can find anywhere.   Grin

I don't recommend theft as a hobby and am generally against it.  But you look at hospital bills and you figure it more than covers a couple small mementos.   Smiley
