Trippy, man. Sounds like he had another down the rabbit hole sorta experience. Good for him I s'pose, but he should clean up his foul wording a bit. His book won't be a stocking stuffer here. I hope he makes enough to cover his hospital bills. I guess.

My wife had One of them after her hysterectomy - she could do about 2000, I could do nearly 4000. And I'm not in the same shape I was 30 years ago either

X ray chest yesterday.
Got results today. Still have a little pneumonia. No medication offered. I go back for another X Ray check Jan 4.
When I was discharged, Dec 10, from the hospital I was told my lungs sounded good. No Covid crackle.
Dr. yesterday also said my lungs sounded good.

I've mentioned before that I can lay a cable or garden hose out perfectly flat. Walk away, Come back and the darn thing is going to be tangled. Imagine the fun I'm having with a 47 foot air hose from the oxygen generator. So many hang ups happen in a house.

Move stuff out of the way; along the wall.
I must admit the built-in coiled air compressor hose is a constant irritant. You can never set the chuck down without it running away from you. Have to step on it.
I hope you can get off that thing soon Paul.

Knobs, handles, and oh so many of them. A black lab who is a bit of a clutz. Took him out for about a 30 yard walk in the garden this morning. No air hose. By the time I got back in the house I wasn't winded. A week ago I would have been. Slow improvement. I'm forcing my lungs to work.

Sitting at rest today my oximeter measures. 98%. A big improvement over the 67% when I tested positive Dec 1.

Hello 2022.
Now I have something messed up in my lower back. A few grunts and swear words with the occasional high pitched whine seems to help.

A week since coming home and I'm getting worn out just moving around the house.. Grrrrr. Slept 11 hours yesterday. Sucking on my Incentive Spirometer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-O-Zawtb32o does seem to help. In the hospital I could achieve 1,000 on the scale, now I'm at nearly 2,000. Have you been outside yet, maybe just a few minutes at a time? When you’re up and “moving around the house” are you just walking around or doing anything to exert yourself? Progress on your spirometer is good, did the doctor give you a goal level? As for the sleeping, all I can say is sleep is good but don’t let yiur muscles get “lazy”. It’s a tough position to be in, your body wants sleep but the muscles need some attention too or you’ll get worn out when up and moving around. Any body aches/pains or are you just fatigued in general? Hoping you feel better soon.

It's been just over 3 weeks since hospital release and a general improvement can be noticed.

I have lost a couple of friends to this damn stuff. One just because he put up a fight against the vaccine. He got covid and died in 10 days. I am not one to be afraid in fact I have had all my shots. I will put it in Gods hands, but please be careful what you do. God can do wonderful things but he gave you a brain so use it please.

Second X ray yesterday shows less pneumonia.
I spent all day O2 free. I've been slowly weaning myself off the home O2 generator as I felt I could breathe better myself.
Now to get back into outdoor O2 freedom.

A good day.
Drove the trash to the dump, went to the UPS store, some grocery shopping, lunch out.
A small amount of walking including up and down the stairs at home - twice - carrying light stuff.
All with no oxygen.
Checked O2 level.
94%. .
Time to call the O2 supplier and ask them to pick up the O2 generator.
I'm going to hang on to the O2 cylinders for a little longer. Just in case.

Good for you. Keep active. Get them lungs working. Baby steps and moderation. On Friday I was out clearing snow for 4 hours, snowblower and shoveling. About an hour longer than usual for what I needed to do but breathing just fine.

With a good deep exhale, on inhale I can achieve 3,500. Progress, but I'm still getting winded doing stuff like walking up stairs carrying something medium heavy.

Sounds like you’re making good progress, it’s impressive from where yiu were. Hopefully your stair trips are few and far between until you get your wind back. I know when my girls would get pneumonia it would several weeks to get their wind back playing soccer and basketball. It’s a slow process which needs to be taken easy and build back up.

It's been a month since the hospital let me go. Took the dog for a walk today -could only do about 1/4 of the usual. Sunny cool day so worth the effort. That was after taking trash to the dump and stuff to Goodwill which means steps and stairs. Phew.

Snow coming, brine on the main roads. Time to prepare. Wasn't looking forward to this. The garage is on the other side of the creek. That's where the generator and 5 gallon gas cans and extension cords are. There's about 10 concrete/stone steps down to the creek. Another step off the end of the footbridge across the creek. A slope up to the house and 2 steps onto the covered deck by the downstairs door. It took a few breaks for breath but it got done. Sandra heard me Hulk for the first time as I heaved the generator up the 2 steps to the house. They are too tall for it's wheels to roll up. I feel like I had a good workout at the gym yesterday. Nothing a couple of Aleve can't fix Lung capacity definitely improving.
