Digger,
Politics and pseudo-science aside, I've lived in fear of catching that stuff myself! Not enough to hole-up in isolation, but enough to exercise as much caution as circumstances would allow while still riding and living. In spite of everything, however, it appears all of us are vulnerable!!! I do wish you luck... and all of us, also!

did you tell all your family/friends, etc. at the xmas party just so they might get sick as well and know?
did you all go out at all to any stores, etc. since if not then probably someone at the party already had covid, agree?
should have got the booster shot prior if possible? was it original covid or the new strain omicron you think?
best wishes hope you feeling better soon.

#1 no if someone did have it it didn’t have enough time to show up as symptomatic in him. #2 no the booster is also no guarantee you wont get it. Just maybe some lesser symptoms.

Hoping you have a mild run. Pick up an oximeter, keep an eye on O2 sats.

To be fair someone with previous lung problems, like COPD, 88% could be low end of acceptable. That might be what Brit's doc was talking about... since Brit has had lung issues since last year.

Well....I woke up feeling pretty rough....took a couple ibupropene about an hour ago and Im coming back fast. This is day 4 since symptoms started. Got antibodies infusion yesterday afternoon. I have no major problems. Dont think its in my lungs. O2 meter shows 93 during normal breathing but im thinking thats normal with a little lung damage in a motorcycle wreck in 1998 where I had a collapsed lung they had to reinflate. If I take 10 deep breaths (required by nurse Mary) O2 meter goes up to 97. Think Im gonna be ok. Mary has no symtoms as of yet. Thanks for prayers

If you ride at high altitudes that are common here in the Rockies, you know how the lack of oxygen can make your Valkyrie run poorly. While sea level air contains about 21% oxygen, that drops to 16% in Taos (7,000') and 12% on Pikes Peak.
I live at 6,700' and my O2 saturation usually reads 94% to 95%. But on a recent ride through Oklahoma it jumped to 98%. The bike ran better, too.

24 hrs later after antibody infusion im feeling almost back to normal. I asked the infusion doctor what he thought of Ivermectin and he said it is 2nd best covid treatment with antibody infusion being the best line of defense. A doctor friend says antibody infusion doesnt help much on the omitron varient but kicks butt on the other covid strains

Have a good friend age 62 and his wife 60 and his wife tested positive yesterday morning and started feeling achie and headache. She called my wife Mary who is a retired RN. Mary told her to come over and get some Ivermectin we have…she did….she called us this afternoon and said she was feeling much better. A lot of doctors dont like Ivermectin because of serious side effects. My doctor friend says a lot of people who take Ivermectin get very sick and end up in the hospital…..because they overdose. The dosage is based on patients weight. There is a weight/dosage chart you have to follow. You have to be very careful as to how much you take.
