Decided to part out my Valkyrie. Not licensed since 2014. Gas tank rust among other issues make parting out the only financially practical thing to do. I will probably keep some things that I would need to have as backups if I found another Valkyrie I just had to have. I’m still looking at Gold Wings but this inflation thing has the market fouled on motorcycles too it seems.
Dang John,
If a gas tank is all you need, I'll hook you up. Will need to be painted to match the bike but, it's a good tank. Or, I can give you the contact info for a gent that I know has a few good tanks not all that far from you. I think he'd let one go, can't really speak for him.
Edited: Or, are you simply ready for something newer?

Not something newer for the sake of latest and greatest, but I have ridden 1800 Wings over the years and if I am to ride off into the sunset on a bike, I’m thinking a Wing will be the bike. I bought an Interstate tank last winter once I realized what had happened to the inside of my stock tank.
John , how about some info on the bike. I do rehabs when possible. I may be interested in another project.

99 Black and Silver standard converted to a tourer with factory parts. 53,000 one owner miles. I pulled the rear end off the swing arm for the first time ever this summer and everything was good, no discernible wear on the splines ect. Yesterday I remove the MC cruise unit off because the stock cables are binding and probably need to be replaced. Last trip on the bike was to Bike Week and at that time all systems were good. Right off the top of my head the bike needs tires, battery, carb rebuild, gas tank repair /replacement, replacement for windshield (very cloudy), control cables rear end service.
The glory days

After sitting for 5 + years

And today

I sold the progressive shocks back in the summer, they are now on Sweet Cheeks bike. I still have the original shocks.
