Does anyone here have any experience or know of a Valkyrie or maybe Gold Wing  pulling a teardrop camper ??
I’m thinking of Riding out West next few years but I want to do it on my bike !

Just seeing  if anyone has pulled a teardrop or know someone who has ?

Thx

I've pulled two different trailers with my Valkyries.   One high profile, one low profile.   Honestly, can't say it was much different with either one but haven't pulled a tear drop version. Head and side winds have a much greater affect on taller trailers but, I'm sure you already know that.

But, I can offer some towing advice if you're interested.   You didn't ask for that so, I'll quit on that now.

I’ll get that info later on if I decide to go that route.  I’ve never pulled a trailer behind a bike and really don’t want to unless I change my mind.

Not sure how a teardrop pulls but two summers ago l caught up to an HD in the state of Colorado with side car pulling a teardrop. That is a lot of tires to keep track of.

Pulling a trailer behind a motorcycle apparently isn't for everyone.   For me it pretty much depends on how much "stuff" I'm taking with me.   I really hate loading the bike down and looking like a gypsie, making her top heavy, constantly checking and re-checking straps/tie downs to ensure my load doesn't shift or come loose and then having to spend a ridiculous amount of time loading/unloading morning and evenings.   I've also discovered that regardless of what I want to find, it's almost always located on the bottom of the baggage.   So, when I trailer behind my bike or the trike, it's just me in the seat and everything is in the tag-along trailer.   With my trailer, I put it (whatever) in paying attention to weight and balance, shut the lid and go ride.

When I get to the destination, I get what I want out of the trailer and lock/secure it and go ride or unload but, the option is always open.

There are draw backs to towing and a few safety concerns to be aware of but, we can talk about that once you decide that trailering is what you want to do.  I just wanted to mention what I see as some of the advantages.

I can't speak to camping in a tear drop trailer.  The Army paid me to "camp" for years, they even provided most of the necessities to do it but, that's where camping ends for me.  Wink
