So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

He was up the butt of both sides in D.C.
BUT he was the biggest D donor after soros.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11430551/ONE-MILLION-victims-FTX-Trading-bankruptcy-never-recoup-funds.html

He needs to see the inside of a barred window for the rest of his life as should all those who helped him.

And he's politically progressive. What they do, use other peoples money.

Alas many are so greedy it makes them blind and foolish.

Just saw where the FTX CEO is begging for investors to help him with donations.
Oh Yeah, I'm going to help him out.  NOT.

House of cards starting to wobble.

FTX filed for bankruptcy protection Friday and some crypto firms might follow

I'm in no way knowledgeable about how this all works but, I know this.   If I could get my money back, I'd be getting it as fast as possible.

Ummmm Wonder what is going on.......

Young people who suddenly find themselves multi-millionaires or even billionaires often do very VERY dumb things.... See the NFL (But without the handlers the NFL have in place to TRY to keep them from offing themselves)

Add to that suddenly becoming a multi-millionaire or billionaire, getting used to it, and then suddenly finding yourself "only" a thousandaire.....

Honestly I haven't dug into the specifics, just skimmed the headlines, my comment was more generalized....

And while there are likely some suicides, I suspect stupidcides are more prevalent... Wink

My first thought was, are we sure he was on that bird?

With that kind of money involved, I'd want DNA evidence to prove he was actually killed in the crash.

The timing is very convenient. He was supposed to testify to congress today, where I'm sure the massive amount of that money he gave to Democrats would have come up...

It would seem that buying "air" is a bit risky.   Somewhat reminds me of that movie The Music Man.

It wasn't the commodity that was the problem, it was the exchange.

Crypto is just as much "air" as US Dollars are at this point... sadly...

Edit to add - I'd put forward crypto (Depending on which one) is actually LESS air than USD... The Fed can't just print more at will...

FTX founder SBF and his parents arrive at Bahamas court - as his Congressional testimony blames depression, claims he's victim of anti-Semitism and that his failed crypto exchange is SOLVENT and can cover $1.8B losses.

So, does that mean that if he (FTX) printed some paper money that folks would exchange it for US Dollars?

One would hope not...

Just saying the collapse of this "enterprise" wasn't because it was crypto, it's because it was a ponzi scheme/house of cards...

If there was a motorcycle dealership that appeared to be doing very well but was actually cooking the snickers out of the books and bilking investors, when it all came tumbling down folks wouldn't say "See! Motorcycles are bad business!" They'd say (Hopefully) "That criminal POS was a criminal POS!"

On this we agree.   cooldude

IMHO, they are all Ponzi Schemes.   All constructed to make money based on others buying in.   I probably don't have a full grasp of how it works but, that's the way it appears to me.
It's just a matter of when they fall.

No!!!!  The Federal Government would never contrive a plan to hide information from the public.  Never!.   The timing was just happenstance.
