I hate how high you have to lift the new Valkyrie to get the wheel out.

I take the rear fender section off my old Valkyrie. I've removed the rear
fender section and sub-frame parts from the new Valkyrie it is a lot of
trouble especially after you've added Corbin bags and their brackets.

I made a couple of wooden adapters. The first one was wobbly. It touched
the bike at the shock link. The next one, much much better, touches the
bike at the lugs where a center stand would be on a regular goldwing.

The bottom of the engine doesn't have a flat place, so it is
supported by two blocks.

The sears aluminum lift is a decent lift - except you need to take
GREAT CARE to keep your bike from lowering like a sack of concrete
someone threw off the roof...

The problem is that if I lay it on my jack I can't then slide everything under the bike.

I made the main part of mine out of a studly high-grade 1-by instead of a 2-by to get around that...

What about the old school idea of running the wheels/tires up on some lumber to gain more height to fit your jack and adapter under?   (I have to shim my kickstand up to get my jack and adapter under my Valks.)

Would two pieces of 1.5" wide (2 x 6) give enough clearance?  Or maybe you only need the wood under the rear tire?  The jack and adapter would initially come up underneath a bit crooked to the bike, but would probably lift it up level.

You need (just) high enough to fit the jack and adapter under, but low enough to be able to push the bike up on it (or ride up on it), and also low enough to still get your feet down when you get up on it.

Can you not lay the Valkyrie over on its side like the Wings to do a tire change?

If you have a deck like this it’s easy to change your rear wheel.

Or just use a jack

Do you have an adapter under your bike on the bike lift?

I think I maybe put a 3/4 board on one of the arms, I have it written down I’d have to look in my book

What I do is place on center stand, then jack up and place two 2x10s under center stand and
tire will come out. Also gives enough space to put pipe on brakes bar to get lugs off.

I use my bike jack while holding bike.. Jack on right side and 2x10s  next to stand and slide them
with  my foot.
   Hope I made myself clear.

I’m somewhat surprised that some enterprising 1800 Valk owner hasn’t come up with a jacking solution. I was able to change both front and rear wheel/tire combo’s out on the Goldwing using the center stand and a floor jack under the engine to get the front wheel off the ground just enough. The only thing that made the job more difficult was removing the rear fender center section and then having to unbolt and move the amp for the audio system up and out of the way.

I too had to use a breaker bar and then add a second piece of pipe to break lose the lug nuts. I used a torque wrench to put them back on. I like the deck idea, mine is 10 feet up in the air.

All you need is a center stand, pull the left pipe, no jacking needed.

I remembered you'd said that. I didn't jack my bike far enough the other
week, and decided to take the left muffler off, it helped a lot. I didn't take my
corbin bag mount off, so it was still in the way some, but not much or
any more than some other OEM bracket that was there...

I'm going to see if this fits with my center stand.

https://www.amazon.com/TCMT-Engine-Plates-Goldwing-2001-2015/dp/B07JWGC6M3/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=TCMT+Belly+Pan+Engine+Plates+Covers+Fits+For+Honda+Goldwing+GL1800+GL+1800+2001-2015&qid=1649270570&s=automotive&sr=1-2

And if I can maybe run a couple of metal strip along or across it so as to give it more strength when I use the lift.

Should fit I have a similar one off a Wing that fits nicely. I guess the car tire makes it next to impossible to take the rear tire off without the bag coming off, but I have never had to remove anything to take off the rear tire.
