Tiger had a rough day, but if you look at where he was a year ago, he's giving it a hell of a shot.

It amazes me what these guys can do with golf ball.  Cink's hole in one yesterday was awesome.

Some of it.  It's about the only golf I watch (annually).

I like the course.  I'd like to live there, it's nice (without all the people).   Smiley

I don't mind saying I'm pulling for Tiger.  Just to do what he's doing.... playing competitive golf with the best in the world.  He made the cut.  Even if he finishes down the list, it's a win for him, I think.

He's already won there 5 times.  He doesn't have to win any more.

Though he needs 6 to tie Nicklaus.

I'm pulling for him as well.  Like you said, just being there and making the cut is an accomplishment considering his injuries.  My boy has $20 on him to win.  That's a long shot, but I won't count him out.

It's the only sporting event I will not miss. I look forward to it every year. Rich with tradition and the course and it's surroundings are beautiful. Dad and I never missed it. Being laid up this year with this shoulder. I have watched every round. Sunday on the back nine at Augusta is a pleasure to watch. I think tomorrow will be no different.

One of the things I like most about golf.... about watching golf.

Is that while there is some excitement on great shots and the spectators make some noise from time to time, mostly it is calm, soft spoken, thoughtful coverage and commentary.  Not a bunch of yelling and screaming for the whole game like most other sports.  It is relaxing to watch, and you can take naps during the show.

Also, it's an individual sport with everyone against everyone (and the course), and I'm happy if everyone does great.

And every once in a while, some guy is shooting into the spectators "FORE", or out of the woods, or flailing at the sand so there's some comic relief.

Why do they yell fore?  Because it's nicer than yelling.... DUCK!

After Friday the look of pain/agony on Tiger's face pretty much summed it up for me. He' a inspiration to the game of golf but his off course life decisions has left a stain. I still like watching the Masters regardless who's playing but I wasn't expecting anything spectacular from Tiger other than being able to walk the course 4 days in a row.

for those who love that sport, more power to you.  Never understood though hitting a ball, then go chase it to hit it again and again and again..... Grin

Is something special to hit the darn ball and be so accurate, something I never mastered playing a few times is all.  Have other things to spend my money on I guess?

Considering that I couldn't understand 90% of what Robin said, yeah clear as mud.  ;0
But, I guess that was the whole point.   Ya either love it or don't understand it.
I feel the same way about soccer and hockey.
