OSS. First remove the pads completely. Next compress the pistons after cleaning them well. Third, re assemble the caliper on the plate without the pads. Make sure both spring plates are in place. Last install the new pads

It is together. And she runs
Axle in
Compressed  caliper
Pin in caliper

Funny  thing forgot shock

Don't look right

Duh

Now shocks on took her for a short ride
Monday or Tuesday will get front tire installed then put bags back  on

Cutting it close

Could not have done it without Gman and I was wearing my big bf shirt for luck

Maybe at inzane someone cN check our brake work?

I did quite a bit of prep for Taos. I met my riding buddy just over the bridge at the Cape Cod Canal, about ten miles from my house. I told him I keep hearing a clunk when I use my back brake. On closer inspection, I saw the problem. When I installed the rear caliper, I neglected to put the bolt through the caliper assembly.  You know, the one that keeps it from rotating.....The bolt was there, it just wasn't doing much.

DOH.

wow
One thing, I was not going to change the o ring in the final drive since the other two looked fine
(I changed em anyway) but decided why not?
The thing was broken in two pieces   Holy moly
 SURE glad I checked it

The red eye o rings look stronger than the honda ones

Good thing your bolt was still there.   Lost mine, not sure why, took a week or so to get new one.  Not a bolt you can run down  to local hardware store to replace.
