I stopped for gas to discover my chrome ignition cover was only being held on by the key. (huh?)

Digging around some more, I didnt get what was wrong until I looked at the fische.. oh theres a tab and screw holding it together... mine broke off.  (another huh?) I have never taken it off or screwed with it or anything.... hey you guys with higher mileage bikes... has this happened to you and how often? (Part is still available, thinking... order more than 1?)

Thanks all  cooldude

It is repairable.  I may have one on the shelf.  Scratch off the chrome and ABS black plastic glue.

$22 new. According to this page, the switch cover is a generic part used on many other honda bikes if you're buying used. Many vendors are oddly trying to sell covers with a broken tab or a partially broken tab. [edit] I wonder if you can't silicone it temporarily in place.

These black version looks like more pliable plastic.

It was bonkers just trying to find where it was listed. ohhh, side covers? Honda parts listing bingo again!  Roll Eyes

Btw - RonAyers seems to have the best prices as of current... could change tomorrow.

Looks like Honda did their usual thing and purchased a million of these from a vendor, probably squeezing the vendors gonads for the lowest price to use on a whole lotta bikes, the latest being a 2020 model.....so the part will be available for quite a few years... Cool

I just made my first order from them, haven’t received it yet. Prices were a bit cheaper and customer service was great. So far happy with them. All oem.
