hey guys i got a question,,,
i can buy a d-404 for the front which is a bias ply tire,,, will it work ok with a car tire radial on the back?

i am not an aggressive rider because the honda tachs out to quick and the pegs drag way to soon...seriously tho i am just mostly a casual rider because Bev wont let me get even just a little bit crazy...
thanks in advance,,,if i dont get that tire i will most likely go with the metzler....

Personally, I'd go with the Metzler on the front with a CT on the rear.

But that is also my combination.

Personally, I don't like a non radial on the front...

Rode LEO bikes too long I guess....    When we went to radial tire bikes, we had a lot less problems, in a chase, riding the fire trails and etc. .......

Harley's used to run CT front and rear for years.    The 1st LEO motor I got issued had Good-Year Diamond tread 600 X 16 on both ends.   When we got issued the MotoGuzzi. that was our 1st experience with radial tires.   After that the specs were changed to Radials.

Any difference from what you're now riding on.

If there is a size difference and there most probably is you will notice a different speedometer reading but that's not a big deal.

There are some on this forum who have in the past promoted bias ply tires on the front.

Mixing bias with radial is not that big a deal since the bike rides on two wheels.

It's mixing them on cars that there is an exaggerated affect.

I prefer the front with a bias (rear tire) when running the car tire rear. It makes mine WAY better than the radial front bike tire. Just MHO. YMMV. Lips Sealed

I've got the D404 up front with a GYTT on back and it works good. Holds well in corners wet or dry.

I'm running the same as Larry. GYTT on the rear and D404 on the front. It's my second D404, living in Michigan we have most of the road conditions possible.
