Oil Filter - Will It Work
«

I know this is sort of a dumb question but I cannot validate the fact that this filter will fit my 2003 Valkyrie Standard. Looking on line, the part number associated with the filter is not the same as those shown by the various suppliers of OEM Honda parts.
Besides being made in China is it the correct filter?
Thanks.

This Partszilla lingk lists all fitting bikes (No Valk.... does not neceessarily mean it won't, Valks are old and not on all parts lists)

Thanks Jess. The last link has the 2003 Valk.
I just wanted to make sure before I changed the oil in the coming weeks.

the GL1800 filters fits the all GL1500 engines and many other honda engines.
the filter that was used for all GL1500s was shorten to fit the GL1800 due to front fairing interference. so org valkyrie # was replaced by the GL1800 #.
I changed the oil on a GL1800 when they first came for a guy I knew and the valkyrie longer filter fit fine. just had to sneak it around the fairing, but it didn't touch once installed.

I did a search and came up with this:
https://www.partzilla.com/product/honda/15410-MFJ-D02
I've been using Bosch #3323 for about 10 yrs.

I was surprised to see Mother Honda using CHINA made oil filters. Noticed that when I purchased and installed last week.

Doesn't matter where it is made...
What does matter are the QC processes in place to ensure meeting manufacturer specs.

Yes! China will make a product with quality to the buyer's price point. If the buyer wants high quality, they will need a QA/QC process at the plant full time. China will also run "knock offs" on the night shift without the QA/QC process.

I have used Honda Automotive Filters (Blue Ones) on my 99 Interstate with no issues. They are a little cheaper than the MC filters.

I've been using my stash of an oversized PureOne PL14459. larger dia, same length as OEM.
Extra oil is needed to have correct level on dipstick
