What fantastic WX we've had in October and now into the first few weeks of November! We've been enjoying getting in these remains rides of the season until the WX turns cold in December.

Today we went to Davis BBQ in Sterling, MA. First time for us. It's in a beautiful location across from the Davis Mega Maze and Fall Festival grounds among the fields.

I had a brisket sandwich with the two standard sides, fries and coleslaw. These can be subbed out for other sides if you'd like.

The brisket was juicy and delicious with the smoke ring clearly visible. Price, $15.95. At the last few joints I've been to (Village Smokehouse in Millers Falls and Bub's BBQ in Sunderland), the amount of brisket was much less, wasn't nearly as good and priced higher.

Sherry had the Smoked Turkey Bowl, which is smoked turkey tossed with BBQ sauce over grilled seasonal vegetables & wild grain rice. It was delicious. We took the left overs home. We'll definitely be returning to Davis BBQ.

Wow Terry! Wish you weren't 300 miles away. I could go to your place for BBQ. Enjoy!  cooldude

It has been an enjoyable season for trials and errors with dry seasonings / rubs and wet sauces on a variety of different foods Tony...
Switching now to trying to pack some venison in the freezer....
