Back in the '60s, I had a chance to take a look at Martin Marietta's experimental "lifting body" aircraft. The shape and size of the Navy's Valkyrie is quite similar although the early model Martin built was rather bulbous. The modified version was more similar to the Valkyrie.

  Watched testing at Pax river test station in Maryland when they were launching
The X47 drone from the catapult in one of the runways. Just strange to this guy nobody in there.
