Carman Allan whom some of you know, is wondering where he can get a front wheel chromed. Any suggestions, he's in the Ft. Worth, TX area.

Bob Smith, the Attic Rat, would be the source for that info. From what I’ve seen he has the hookup on chrome. There is another guy I see on Facebook who is big on custom Wings in Texas and he has been selling chrome wheels for the Wings for a while. Is name is, Jay Ford, I can’t bring the name of his business to mind right now.

Unless the plater can do the job without allowing any deposition in the bearing cups, I would stay away.  Any deposition will make it difficult or impossible to 1) insert the bearings, or 2) have them fully seat.  I've had more than one experience dealing with the aftermath of people believing they can accurately remove unwanted plating with a dremel.

That said, several years ago I was referred to North Texas Quality Chrome in Gainesville on another project.
