Sooo,,

( never a good start )

Pulled the guts out for the I/S faring to fit some risers,,,,,,

The threaded plugs in the fairing that Receive  the screws for the speaker housing and other goodies have all spun in the sockets

One of the sockets is shattered with epoxy all over it,

Looks like P,O”S adventures were frequent

Anyway

Any tip on setting the threaded sockets in

I was planning on using some two part epoxi to set the sockets back in to the plastic

Thanks in advance

When mine spun out, I used J B Weld, worked fine.
Don’t get it in the threads.

I have used super glue and baking soda in the past with good results.

I always use the black  ABS glue. N O T  the multi purpose. I also buy the small can.  MEK is also a need in repairs. Clean and lube the threads and take your time.

MEK is nasty stuff,,

You gotta be in a well ventilated area for it

I use JB Weld on these. And put a dab of anti-seize on the screws, lightly seat them in place and wait 24h before backing them out to attach the inner fairing panels.

Once fixed they tend to stay fixed - and don't forget the anti-seize if you have the fairing apart.
