Thursday was 60 degrees and sunny blue skies.

Friday was 40 degrees and still blue sunny skies. When I read on here that it was snowing in Nashville the skies were still clear around here.

About 4:00 I was walking with my mother when she said it was snowing but I couldn't see it. About 4:30 it started snowing enough I could see it and by 5:30 it was laying.  Overnight it continued to snow off and on. I hooked up the gas to the new gas logs that I have been installing, but I can't get the line to bleed and the pilot light on so I hope the power stays on. This morning we woke up to 4" of snow and now the sleet has started to lay on top.

That is much for a lot of the VRCC members, but here in this part of NC that is a ton of snow.  I'll get out and take some pics later. At the moment I'm eating snow cream for breakfast and watching the sleet fall out the window.

Good to hear from you Dino.

Ride?  Not today.
Today we hooked Nic's Volvo to the tractor and hauled it up the driveway. Our driveway has plenty of shade and takes a while to thaw out. At the top of the hill (by Dad's shop) in the sun the slush was melted so the car did fine. However, we took it out for a few errands and had trouble getting back up their driveway. I had to hop out run up the hill and grab the tractor to pull her up to the top again. Mom and Dad's van is going up and down the hill fine. Nic's Volvo is just being pesky.

My bike is still under the shed surrounded by slush and snow. I might be able to get out mid-week or a little later. The roads are clear but getting to the roads can be tricky.

I'm hoping to get out tomorrow and go look at a truck.  I'm just not so sure what to drive to go look at it. The price is right and Nic likes the pics so we'll manage to go look at it somehow. She'll be with me so I doubt we'll take the bike.

They're calling for more sleety snow tonight after midnight, and wintery slush Wed-Fri. This could be a long white spell which is odd for us.  We're both off of work again tomorrow. I'm hoping we'll be back at work sometime this week, but if the weather is to believed then we may not.  I need to take some new pics sooner or later. Honestly, not much has changed back here in the woods.
