As much as I want to be there , due to my wife's illness and no miracle  in sight , I will not be there this year. I missed last year by helping do a hoarder's cleanout and all of us got sick.
My wife broke her right femur on March 14. It was repaired with a plate from her prosthetic knee to her hip.  Complications arose and blood clots formed. Clots in her lungs. They recently drained 67 ounces of fluid from the left lung. She is in rehab care and is unable to walk . Extremely low blood pressure. They can't seem to regulate it and get control. If this is one of the perks of retirement , then do not do it.

I'm sorry to read this Ross.  Your priorities are in order.  Prayers out for Bonnie's full recovery, and for strength and comfort as you go through this together.

Ross, that's tough to hear about Bonnie. Let her know Nancy and I are thinking/praying for healing. Plus, you need to take care of yourself so you can take care of her when she comes home.

May the Lord raise her up with complete healing. And give the doctors wisdom in dealing with the conditions.

Sorry for your (and her) troubles Ross.

May you both be blessed with her good recovery.

This aging process is a great big suck... but beats the alternative.
