I was moving my 2000 Valkyrie trike around in the garage when it suddenly felt like the brakes had been applied. They had not been. Pushed it backwards and then again forward, and it seemed fine. My question is, could it have had anything to do with the front wheel bearings maybe going bad. I am getting ready for a cross country trip, and just want to be sure that nothing is wrong.

Remove the wheel and run the bearings by hand. You have to position the interior spacer as to not interfere smooth movement. It should feel butter smooth

Bikes (and I assume trikes) can often get a bit of slight corrosion from moisture on the rotors if not run and ridden in a while (even a week, humid weather depending) and can get a little grabby until run and brakes used and mild corrosion worn off the rotors (where the brake pads hit).

Bearings are a different issue.
