The sensor should reset when you turn the key off, provided it didn't get tilted. It is behind the panel (center cover) the seat unlock keyhole is mounted to, right of that keyhole.
Before you go looking, make sure you haven't bumped the run/stop switch to the stop position (don't ask).

For clarity, the cable from the 3P connector goes to the sensor, as the text implies.
Also, reconnecting the cable to the latch assembly can be a real bizch.

Did you mess with the ground connection?

From your description of the headlight turning off when you hit the starter switch and nothing happening -- plus if you know your battery is good -- it almost sounds like a dirty starter switch.  Common issue with Hondas that have this style of starter switch.

Headlight is designed to turn off when you press the starter button, so nearly all power goes to starter motor. If it isn't the switch, look elsewhere, like the starter relay.

Took the switch apart and jumped it. Starter worked but no spark to the spark plugs with the ignition on, its like there is a circuit dead.

You jumped directly from the battery to the starter motor? Anyways, since the starter motor is okay, the culprit might be the safety interlock circuit. The neutral switch if transmission was in neutral. I assume the keybox was ON. I like to jump the starter motor at the starter relay.

I read that as two problems.
1.the switch wasn't working, so didn't activate the relay. So, jumped the contacts at the switch and starter turned, proving a switch problem. OP, did I read that right?
2.there is some problem with the ignition system.
