I sort of miss the snow. We get some here in SC but not every year. It's cold enough now for snow to be able to stick for awhile.
My only interaction with large amounts of snow was when I was at my wife's home (well it was where here family lived, my wife, Lynn, was living in Wisconsin) in Minnesota. I even got to ride her family's Snowmobile. She had three bothers and on sister, all younger then her.
I must say, it was interesting. And it was the week before we got married. An interesting time.
And as I said, I sort of miss the snow. But not the ice.

We have a soild 4" almost 5 now on the ground I already plowed once ,
took about an hour.
Yeah I don't miss PA. blue ice !
Honestly, I don’t mind the snow as long as I’m prepared for it.
And it's water good for the ground and spring !

Yes it does  In the start you can see the snowblower sitting on the left .. But I will not back down my driveway on a 2Wheel drive tractor.. Don did it all the time. I will NOT even try that... I remember afew years back someone said I should .. Maybe they will watch this video and understand why I said I would not ...  I don't think you can see the 3.5 hills.... And how steep they really are. |

It's 9* and the running total is 24" of snow.
And NO it's not all on the ground at once yet!
it was 17* when I first got up at 4am...
That was our day hight LOL.. It's a bit windy and snowing..
I put hay out before 8am, and unrolled 1.5 bales.
I figured the stock will eat all day and all night tonight.
Thank goodness it starts to warm up Wed. And stay in the 30's - lower 50's
Till the start of Jan.....Yee Haw , cut fire wood the week of christmas

Last minute yesterday I had to get TheBeast out , I needed to deliver some cookies .
I left at 3:30 pm. Got back home 4:45 ....
As I couldn't do it today, That would have been better, but I am helping Jason witha horse.
And a Vet..
Once I committed to heading down my driveway, there was no turning back. The hills were still blanketed in snow, as the sun doesn’t reach some of them. Remember I didn't plow the last 2" on Sunday ..
I was truly worried about getting back up. But TheBeast took care of me and went right up!
Never felt like a wheel spun! God I love my Beastie !
I felt more sliding going down ,I hit one area that , well lets say felt like a good drift!
The rear end was doing it's own thing,Thank goodness I use to do that drift in turns years ago. So I just did what I use to do automatically , No thinking required...
I am always amazed how well TheBeast works and runs for me!
We always seem to become as one, as soon as I throw my leg over the saddle.
When I reached the shop baydoors I patted it on the Tank ! Told it what a good beasty it is.

Yesterday was yet another sad day here on the farm, had to put "Miss Riva Anna" Down ,
She was just coming 30yrs old. The last of an era for the Farm..
She was the grand daughter to the great race horse "Riva Ridge"
She was a great grand Daughter to "Wilson's Yellow Cat "
Annie will be missed very much on the farm.
Dixie had been very anxious the last few days , She knew something was up with Annie.
And just couldn't tell me .
I can't wait for 2025 to be over!
These last few yers have really sux!
23,24,25...
I'm sure hoping 2026 will be so much better !

Jason and his family got 1 , And gave oe to my GF and her family. I really enjoy making them, and I love the new recipe I use. It takes 7 eggs, a real high-protein cake!  |

I threw my leg Over TheBeast saddle and ran to town last ride of the year. 25* strong winds... I really needed some therapy for the soul. It was wonderful... Gerbings gloves,liner,pants... Even took the trash to the dumpsters on the way... |
