I tried to search this, to no avail.

98 Tourer, 223, 963 miles. 2nd owner. I have put on all but 92, 000 miles.

Just rebuilt the Clutch Slave Cylinder, cleaned the inside of the MC and bled the system with no issues.

Now, I have fluid dripping from the under side of the lever bolt.

My question is, can I rebuild the MC on the handle bar?  I don’t see any reason why not, other than keeping brake fluid off the rest of the bike. That’s what old bath towels are for, right!?

Seems like extra work removing the mirror and the MC.

Please tell me if I’m half-cocked on this one. My parts are couple days out.

Yes, you can. But it would be a lot easier (and safer) to do it on a bench.

yep do it on bench, brake fluid will destroy paint faster than u can blink.

I did it on the bike with no problems. I did cover everything, you really don't want fluid spilling around.
