An excellent back and forth game.   While I'm extremely happy with the outcome, I was worried the Chiefs wouldn't have their act together for this game.   Their receiving corps has been less than expected this year.   A well-coached and well-played game by both sides.

The Chief's kicker performed on every opportunity, the Bill's missed one, and it cost the Bills the game.  Two evenly matched teams.

In the Bill's place kicker's defense, yeah he did miss an important field goal but, the team as a whole put him in the position of keeping them in the game.   He was a very consistent field goal kicker throughout the season.

Had that fumble by the Chiefs through the endzone been ruled differently, that field goal would not have matttered.   Doesn't really matter now, the final score is in the books.   Now, the focus needs to be beating Baltimore.   If, the Chiefs play up to their potential, it should be a great game, if not.................

Liefs have a lot of dirty players with late hits, OL is holding and tackling DL almost every play all season and vegas controlled refs don't call penalties. NFL games are 80% scripted like pro-wrestling by the vegas bookies controlling the refs and endorsed by the owners who tell the coaches which plays to do or not do. NFL has been corrupt for 50 yrs even worst now with the refs headsets and all of the online betting going on. Ravens will destroy the Liefs unless the refs get involved big time.  remember kalone going off on the refs for calling off sides preventing them from winning. vegas and nfl don't like teams going after refs, I predict refs will help Liefs look really bad against Ravens unless of course the betting is so bookies win big if Liefs win.  It all about the money. even the announcers sound like pro-wrestling announcers. just too funny and disgusting.

Ron: why would he??? Someone needs to explain how bookies operate to conspiracy boy: turns out bookies have to pay out to all the front jumping fans that bet based on emotions and the “favorite “ happens to wins. That’s why the spread shrinks over time.
LV is very good at predicting points spread. Take the under !
As far as fixing games- NFL wants a Super Bowl rematch of week1 when Detroit thumped KC

Right on Jess!!! Repeat of Week 1 When Detroit thumped KC!!!
We sort of followed Bills, they are good and call Ford Field 2nd home when the snoed out @ Buffalo snowed, we go there too just for fun, their fans are insane we love them, they travel well and “mostly “ behave when they take over my neighborhood bar -lots of broken tables, huh OSS

Yep rather face KC than Bills for our first Super Bowl

Bills & Niners are best in league, Hope Lions can advance. Bills are real good, Josh Allen is a beast, we have friends that are Bills fans, rather not face them. Niners would be a real challenge, hopefully we’ll be there.

Highly unlikely, huh? OK I’ll take 21 points! High enough? Go ahead make it 28 or 35… hey it’s real hard to beat the same team 2x  in same season, make it truly unlikely @ 45 then!

I am a bit confused.  I thought we were talking about Detroit and the 49ers.  Did Detroit play SF in 2023?

be nice to see Ravens and Lions with Lions winning it all.  Lions are LONG overdue.

Chiefs and 49ers are too much drama queens for me.

A good point was made on the refs deciding games this year more so than any other year in the NFL history.  I am thinking there is some truth to fixing the games as best as the REFS can judging by the inept calling of some penalties this year by the REFS deciding a ton of games by what they decide to call or not to call.

Pretty sick of Mahomies and Kelsies and Swifties blowing kisses and hugs back and forth during the game.

A Long Time yes,- 60 70 years ago Lions won more Championships than anyone I think pre-Super Bowl in the 50spre- Bobby Layne curse. Lions Giants & Bears ruled the NFL  GO Lions 2 more wins

What happened in the past don’t mean squat. I hope your team can beat SF, but it ain’t going to be easy.

Define “Squat” of course it matters- meanwhile in  the real world losing teams do NOT get advance  to playoffs thanks for the good wishes True iT will Not be Easy  49ers are a real good team with Micky Ds looking uniformsI hope Goff is able to drop some bombs on their secondary.

As for the refs- Dallas did not beat Detroit. Taylor Decker reported to the refs (on video )and coach Dan told them exactly what the 2 point play was. Decker was lined up in the Tight End Position so he Was Eligible to receive, I plyTight end and we used to run that very play, our coach made me report as eligible, I thought it a nice thing to do so not to surprise the ref - I’ve never seen that “rule” in the books (could be wrong) but Decker was definitely Eligible as tight end and made the 2 point conversion to beat Dallas. If refs didn’t think so they should’ve blew the play dead at line of scrimmage. Rules say there must be 7 men on the line and outermost 2 are eligible as Decker was. They knew he was eligible and allowed the play to happen. Those clowns should be fined and fired! I’m sure there NOT a rule stating a team must forfeit a WIN because of corruption among the referees

[/i][/color]

It was a close match.  But in a game when each team owned and imposed it's will on the other (almost completely) for one half the game.  The Lions in the first half could beat anyone in the NFL.  Then the 49ers owned the 2d half (scoring 27 unanswered points).

I like Dan Campbell's coaching style, but passing up a sure field goal on 4th down and not punting on another were big mistakes.  That field goal would have meant the Lions didn't have to get 10 points in the last few minutes of the game (and they got the touchdown).

The 49ers wanted it more, and Brock Purdy's several long scrambles where he went head first (and not a QB slide) helped turned the tide.   Jared Goff is a gifted, accurate, thinking QB, but he can't run for sh!t (and he doesn't want to).
