Interstate Hi/Lo switch repair

Gooday!
My wife rides an 01 IS. Last fall I noticed her low beam wasn't on. I swapped relays just to make sure that wasn't the problem then I sprayed contact cleaner in to the switch and cycled it many times. Seemed to work but now I'm back there again. Since the switch is not available what are you guys doing? Can it be removed and cleaned by taking it apart? Is it the same switch as my tourer but hooked up to the IS harness? I believe this switch was used on many honda bikes but the harness is different so the part numbers are different.
Let me know what you think.

I looked at the schematics for the C/CT, and the CF. The switch contacts are shown the same and the wire colors are Blue, White, and Blue with White stripes for both bikes. They have different connectors. The CF goes into the big green connector. The CT goes into the 9 pin red connector and a bullet connector.
If you have the ability and resources to swap the switch itself and repair the wiring, it looks to me like it will work with a CT switch in the CF housing.
Otherwise, you could replace the left side assembly.

You can take it apart and clean the contacts. I recommend putting it in a bag when doing so, little spring inside can go flying. I’ve done several and they work fine. They usually don’t burn up since only feeding a relay, usually just dirty and old grease gets thick.

Mine was acting up earlier this summer. I was able to use a q-tip and clean the contacts in the switch and so far has worked great.

I did some investigation and I believe the entire clam shell and switch are available new from Honda. The wiring colors may be different but could be changed/soldered to work. The connector is definitely different. 2008 VT750. If anyone goes this route and it is proven to work please let us know.
I have not cleaned this old one yet but will give it a try soon
