We haven't made up our minds yet, looks doubtful at this time but who knows. Nancy doesn't want to tow the trike out there, prefers to leave it home since "we didn't ride the last two years." Well, you can't include Roanoke due to it raining all the time and last year it just wasn't convenient for us for various reasons so we didn't ride. If I were to attend alone I'd ride the trike but don't really want to come alone. Guess we have time to decide, I'd really miss not seeing old friends and Nanners would miss meeting at least 2,137 new ones. Grin  Within three months of us getting married and she moved in, she knew more people in the apartment complex(4 bldgs.) than I knew after living here nearly five years. It's an interesting life indeed.  Wink

John , I have a new lady in my life. Nanner needs to show support for your addiction.  My Donna is leery of riding because of the idiots on the road.  She will try to make IZ , but not ride the distance with me.

BTW , She met Dennis (O2S) and survived.

Totally agree. When Dennis happens to call me about something, I generally take a back seat to the conversation with Nancy. Grin

As for long distance riding, for Nancy that's anything over 25 miles. It's "I get tired, my butt hurts, I worry about traffic, what if it rains." Honey...you get wet cuz you don't put on your wet gear when riding and it's 90+ degrees, the rain cools you down. "Well, I don't get wet if we ride in the car."  Can't wait to open the moonroof when driving in the next rain.  Evil

John, I think you know which side your bread gets buttered on! I’ve  had my Goldwing going on three years and Judy hasn’t climbed on even with it sitting on the center stand. I knew it when I got it but I thought she might soften up a bit, wrong.

I understand the wife riding thing.

Mine was 125lbs and smacked me hard on the helmet when she wasn't happy with the traffic, or my riding fast or leaned over.  I later taught her to ride (driving too), but she was never really good at it, and it worried me.

But truth be told, I never cared to take a passenger, not even my wife.  It screws up the balance of the bike and makes it extra top heavy.  I never take a passenger anymore (except maybe around the neighborhood, and she's under 200lbs)  Grin

Well, I was just offered a compromise...of sorts! She wants to attend her oldest grandkid's wedding in St. Paul in September and if I'll go to that with her then she'll go to IZ towing the trike. Hmmm, it's 900 miles one way & I would love to ride but guess I'll take the offer. Hope there's a room still available. Might even take a look at returning the long way through Canada. Wink

I'm toying with a crazy idea of returning via Niagra Falls, Canada up to Maine and then down, but will be a last minute decision based on how frosty our relations are with our northern neighbor as the date of the trip approaches...

Oh, and my spousal unit is likely gonna attend too, although she'll be flying in then renting a car to the event...

We're not bringing the trike cuz I'm still in the process of changing the spark plugs. So, will be just me and Revlon Colorsilk #81. Grin

I have successfully registered but hotel info, phone number was not on the final screen?
It is not on the final screen, but on the receipt that is emailed to you.
I'm having the same problem. I have printed out the screen showing my paid registration but no hotel info appears, nor have I rec'd. the followup receipt. For some reason, the VRCC Store registration receipt has also disappeared. The $102 has already appeared on the credit card so how do I access the hotel info?

Got it and just made the reservation. Only a King bedroom left, since Nancy is a Queen I hope she doesn't mind sleeping on the floor. I might bring along an air mattress.  Roll Eyes Grin

Just realized I was remiss in not registering for the lunch ride-in at $20/ea., how do I do that now that I've already registered for the rally? Can it be done upon arrival Sunday?
