Picking up a Garmin XT, what is an free easy navigation map to use. I want to be able to set at my laptop and plan routes then download to a SD card or to gps. Just a user friendly navigation so I can choose my route. Not interested in Basecamp, any suggestions?

Check the Harley Davidson maps on their website. When I last looked at it, it was easier to use than Basecamp.

There is a Zumo Forum and you can join and ask the question there.  I just looked and found the  "Post" linked below:

Link to Zumo Forum main screen.

And I do use Basecamp for my Zumo 595.  Not thrilled but, I can make it work and I do take my laptop on the road with me.  I can modify the route on the road but not as easy as it use to be using Microsoft Trips and Sheets, (which I still use for a few things when I need a quick look at a proposed route).
