I was going to title it Utility Worker Has Bad Day, but they say he was pretty much injury free.  I guess Lucky Day is better.  Still, I'd be lawyering up and complaining about all the aches and pains and the terrible debilitating PTSD if I were him.  He could get even luckier!

My only comment is that the Utility Worker had the appropriate gear and used it and that appears to have saved his life.   But Utility Workers tend to have a safety first attitude. 

As for the truck driver......

Yes, the lane should have been closed. In MA., a spotter is required when working over traffic like he was just for this reason. The safety harness did its job for sure.

Was thinking the same thing, not sure who was in charge of that task but, someone besides the truck driver didn't do their job.
