I have a spot in my basement to add a kitchen sink and I already have a 60 “ sink cabinet that fits the spot perfectly. It’s a knock down cabinet I bought on close out at Lowe’s for $50.00 and probably that’s all it was ever worth even though the retail was around $200.00. It’s been sitting there in its spot for over a year pulling duty as a storage cabinet and I had a 4ft +/- countertop that has provided a place for different small appliances to reside. When I was remodeling the bathroom on the other side of the wall I stubbed out the water lines and drain for a sink, so that’s done!

Now for the good part. I had to go to Lowe’s today for some painters tape and I always roam around looking for a bargain that I can use. I hit pay dirt today!

I have used Kohler faucets before and since I  have them in my bathroom remodel I knew I would be satisfied with this. I bought 3, two for myself and on for my son. When I checked out, my receipt said I had saved $569.00 on my purchase!!!! Now, I have to spend all that new found money. Grin

When I was shopping for my new one, all the pull down kitchen faucets I saw at Home Depot were like $220 to $300.

And that's a perfect faucet for a basement work sink.   cooldude

That’s totally dependent on when I find that $569.00. I may have to go back to Lowe’s and find out if they are going to send  me a check or how this really works. Roll Eyes

On our 4th. pull down in 30 yrs. 2 Moens, American Standard and a Price-Phister this spring. Moen's cartridge was so expensive thus replaced the whole unit. American Standard lasted the longest @ 12 yrs. and it started leaking at the solder joint. Most use the same tech now days but as for finishes, good ole' chrome is the most durable. I've got 36 yr. old Delta chrome bathroom faucets still new looking. Funny that brass and gold "finishes" are the fashion again. Damn I'm old. I live on well water in a highly agriculture area, 8 ft. water table and a 60,000 grain water softener. We "don't drink the water" but fine for cooking. Wasn't for softener, we be doing plumbing much more often. I wouldn't live w/o it regardless the water QC.

Haven’t had to deal with well water since the mid eighties and it was plentiful, always cold and tainted with sulfur. I grew up with well water and drank a lot of it, as water sold in a plastic bottle wasn’t even a thing.
