One of the more iconic places to visit in Central Texas is the LBJ Ranch.  I ride through there all the time while in that area.  One reason I ride through is that there is a little park on Park Road 1 with clean restrooms.  (I have my secret list of public bathrooms throughout the Hill Country and this park is one of 'em.)  Anyway, I've kinda gotten away from taking pictures while on my daily rides.  Now that the weather is getting good for riding, I'm gonna make an effort to take more pics.

Here's just a few pics from this past Sunday of the main gate to the LBJ Ranch.  It sits just across the Pedernales River from the main house.  I've seen old photos of the Johnson family driving across the river on a low water crossing  that takes you to the house.  The low water crossing is still there, but now there is a bridge just down stream that is used today.  This main gate is not used any more.

Here's a pic looking down Park Road 1 from the main gate.  As you can see, it's a nice place to ride...

From these pics it looks like it's time to polish them wheels!

Ride safe y'all!

Thanks, Charlie!  You've reminded me of how overdue I am for a good Hill Country Ride!

I never get tired of riding through the Hill Country.  It's my therapy...right at about 50 miles all my worries go away.
