Joe,

This surgery is no fun as our 27 year old son went through it a few years ago. Same story didn't feel so good and when he went to the hospital they found that his left lung was collapsing. He had the surgery to fix it and he's been fine ever since. He also was a smoker who quit that day in the emergency room. His girlfriend at the time, who is now is wife, and I went to the store and bought him some patches and slapped one on him then; so by the time he left the hospital it was a little easier. That's my 2 cents about smoking because Lord knows I've quit more than once in my life. I'm happy to report that I'm currently a non-smoker.

Hang in there, you might have a rough couple days, but then you'll be good as new.

Patrick and I are praying for you. You're a good man Joe May.
