24 December.  Service starts at 18:00.  I needed to be there a little early as I run the PowerPoint.

Riding in the temps were mid to high sixties (F).  I wore my Summer mesh jacket, but, honestly enough, I did wear a long sleeved cotton shirt beneath.

Riding home the ambient temps were low to mid fifties (F).

Cold tire?  Something slick on the pavement?  During a 90 degree left turn, with possibly a bit more throttle than was really needed, the rear end jumped out but due to my mediocre riding skills I managed to keep the bike under control (and under me) finished the turn successfully and celebrated on down the road.

It was a good night for a ride.

The same situation here. I was willing to ride to the service but with my wife in a dress that was a no go.
I did get a ride in yesterday though. cooldude

63 here yesterday and starting out at 61 today but the rain is coming. I had a 3 hour round trip yesterday to collect my mother and bring her to my house for a few days. So I have been staying in while she is here. Back to highs in the 30’s starting this weekend! Happy some of you got in the wind, even if only for a short while.

No riding up here in the tundra...it's now 29 degrees but 74 in Orlando. We hope to be heading that way about mid-January but not taking the trike.

We did get out in the car though...I took Nancy to the ER yesterday, sick and with a BP at or near 200/125. Been that way for a couple days and she finally decided I was right...don't need to take a chance on a stroke or heart attack. She wanted to wait it out, not a good plan. Appears she has a well entrenched viral thing going on, really tired and weak...the usual symptoms. I hope she doesn't share it with me, so far...so good. I hit the gym last evening with no repercussions yet, for some strange reason I had the entire place to myself for most of the two hours. Roll Eyes

I got out for a chilly 4 hours yesterday.  I might get another short one in this afternoon, but it's chillier yet.

I'm sorry for Nancy's troubles John.  I had a bit of a HBP problem myself a few years ago.  Some medicine (that made me sick) and regular exercise made it disappear.  I keep that BP cuff around to remind me what sloth brought for me.

Glad you keep active with exercise.  That and a reasonably decent diet will keep the old body chugging along.  The hour on my treadmill every morning is boring as hell, but in winter it's not like there's a heck of a lot else to do.

I am still a working stiff, so have been riding to and from work all week, including this morning.  Mon-Wed it was pretty foggy on the way in and around 60F, but 78-80 on the way home.  it is about 18 miles one way, but it sure does the mind good to get out, if even for a short RTW.

Merry Christmas!!!

LOL!  Jimmy, when I was working for a living during fifteen of the final eighteen years my office was sixty miles away.  I often told people the best part of my day was the ride to and from work.

It's amazing how much my riding mileage has fallen off after losing the 120 mile commute.
