Bit of a story.
As I mentioned, I'm buying my Valkyrie back. When I saw it on the dealer website it was exactly as I'd sold it a year ago.
It arrived today but without the pannier guard rails that the advertisement showed.
You may have guessed the reason. The dealer had used the old photos of when they'd advertised it a year ago, when they'd had it from me.
The dealer contacted the previous owner to find that he hadn't liked them and taken them off.
The dealer is picking them up on Friday and posting them to me.
Happy ending.
What I need to know, since I can't remember,  is when they were fitted were longer bolts used? If that's the case I'll need to ask the dealer to collect them from said gentleman also.
If he's lost these bolts then I need to know what to get.
Does anyone, by any chance, have the Fitting Instructions showing an inventory of the bolts to use, or does anyone just know what they are please?
Or, of course, do they just use the existing bolts?
I include a pic below showing a LEFT Guard rail.
Thank you.

Yes, you do need longer bolts. One goes through the saddlebag. The lower front one shows a spacer. The upper one is the top mount for the shock. Lowe’s and ace have metric bolts in SS and chrome.

Grok scraped a bunch of stuff off the internet, mostly from here.
Hallucinations still occur  Smiley , but maybe this is helpful...

Bolts: M8 x 47mm for some locations (longer than standard 28mm saddlebag bolts to account for rails; use grade 8 or better for strength).
Spacers (collars, part #4 in diagram—approx. 5/16" long, 3/4" OD stainless tubing works; not always included with aftermarket kits).
Nuts and washers as needed.

Grok also had this picture, probably not helpful, but here it is...

I got my rails used. I think my spacer is a 10mm socket.

Hubcaps that's brilliant and very much appreciated.
So, bolts 5 and 6 are the M8 x 47mm. Is that right?. I'd need 4 of them then, two either side.
What does bolt no. 10 do? Is that also a M8 x 47mm and would I also need another two of those, meaning 6 altogether?
With your help I'm getting there.

There are 2 bolts #10 and they hold the center piece to the 2 outer bag rails.  There are 2 holes in the center piece that they go through.  You can see the faint 2 lines that go from #10 to the 2 locations on the center piece.

#5's will have to be longer due to the spacer welded to the end of the appendage. I don't remember if 47mm is the length or not.
