It's winter in Virginia
And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 25 below!

Oh, how I love Virginia
When the snow's up to your butt;
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose is frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Virginia
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground.

It's been a tough winter here in Va... crazy2

I lived in Va Beach Va for many years and would rather be there in the winter than here in Pittsburgh PA.  Your weather is by far much better....   but this has been a bad winter for everyone.

Gee Don, I didn't know you were a poet.

That's pretty good. Yah that climate change, ie Global Warming is really kicking in.

Hope the thaw happens quick for yah.

But that guy in the Out House is pretty well done for, when it warms up a bit.

Usually winter here is pretty mild, but this year since thanksgiving we've had 130 inches of snow and temps below 30 most of the winter....there is about 16 inches on the ground now and its still snowing...we're looking for temps in the high 40's and low 50's this weekend...I sure hope this is the end of it....at one time I had over 3 ft. of snow and ice on our roofs...the main beams from the house to the garage were swayed for about a month.....I'm heading to Hotglue's and never coming back. I've thought about y'all a lot this winter. Every time I get burnt out on the cold and snow, I think how glad I am I don't live where you do.  Grin

yikes!  130 inches of snow....don't think we'll ever move up north....it's too cold up there.  We've had a few freak snow flurries.  Beekeeper said if that continues, we are moving further south, lol

I was a little discouraged at one presentation that indicated we're at the beginning of a thirty year cooling cycle.

I'm fifty-nine years old.

If we're thirty years from the next warming cycle that means winters like this one will be the norm for the rest of my life.   Cry

I surely did enjoy the last fifteen or so.   Sad

Highbinder, we were in Bluefield a couple weeks ago. There was over 12 inches of snow on the parking lot of the Mercer Mall.  A man there told me a lot had melted. I know it has snowed several times since then. We've had a lot of snow, but nothing like you guys.  I'm hoping for a spring thaw soon, and I know you are !!!!!
