anyone know where i can get a universal joint?  also, i don't think we (i had help last time) had to remove the swingarm to get to the u joint for replacement.  i think we went in thru the boot and removed it that way after the drive shaft was out.  does that work?

You're about to replace your u-joint for the second time?   In how many miles?

There are several on e-bay right now.  One from Pinwall cycles closed about an hour ago with zero bids and a starting price of 9.95.  You could give them a call and save them the trouble of re-listing it.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of the u joint and a close up of the failure...

I feel that the u-joint is not one of those things that you would want to buy "used"

The u-joint will come out through the boot area. I agree, would not buy a used one. Glad to hear you still have the Valk Bill. Wish I were closer as I'd gladly help out. My "new to me" Valk should be off the lift this weekend after winter maintenance & mod's are completed. Do you miss the North country yet?  Smiley
