Kinda like these, only about 2.25" in diameter, about the same size as my smaller gauges. To mount them, I simply cut a piece of SS to length, drilled and bent it at 90 deg. and bolted to the braces for the top of the fairing. Those braces are bolted to the handlebars with a P clamp so even the mounts are almost hidden. If you look under the right hand speaker in back you'll see a small gray box, that's the amp, a 300w unit. It has so much power I don't need to use the handlebar mounted volume control, in fact I had to back off the internal volume setting on the GPS so I could turn it down enough using the GPS volume knob. With the iPod, it only needs to be set about 3/4 up when moving. The sound isn't distorted either. Got them off Ebay for $175 which included tax and shipping. The only thing I didn't like was the fact it comes with enough extra length in the speaker and input cables to hang three people on different trees. And the amp wiring harness was also much too long. So, I ended up cutting about 15" off the amp harness, cut 60" off the input cable, 15" off the left speaker cable and 24" off the right speaker cable. The system originally all came into one six pin connector same as used on most metric bikes, and I have a good collection of all different sizes. So, instead of using just one connector, I installed a separate connector for each speaker and one for the power cable. Now if I need to remove the fairing or either speaker, I simply unplug everything separately. I mounted the amp on the windshield mount which I also used to attach the fairing. It's clean, pretty much out of sight, and out of the elements. As you can see by the wires hanging in the background, I don't have the power line run just yet. That's a simple job, just haven't gotten around to it yet. The brass looking knob sticking up next to the left side of the handlebar clamp is the GPS mount. I plan to pick up a "Y" connector so I can plug in the iPod and the GPS at the same time, but at present I have to do it individually. For now, I have the same music on the GPS as I do the iPod so for the time being I only need that hooked up...assuming I even use the GPS. So far....never! If I happen to have it on for music and directions, the music will play and the obnoxious female voice will interrupt, giving turn instructions, then the music will start again. I've always wanted a set of the 2Tunes speakers but they're just too proud of them, these were $149 before tax and shipping....happened to be an in-state dealer so had to cough up the sales tax.

John, that is a neat looking install on an incredible looking bike.  Thanks for the help on the wiring for my lights.  I did the "starter switch safeguard" and the "upgraded Cobra light bar wiring" at the same time with two relays inside the headlight bucket, making the light bar a totally independent system.

Jim, glad I could help out a little. I sure do like the looks of the driving lights with the "eyebrow" trim rings, they now match the headlight. I'm curious....did you add a relay to power up your aux. fuse panel?

I really need to take a trip west sometime, a lot of folks out that way to spend some quality time with.

Yes John, I did put a 40A relay on the fuse panel and thank you for recommend it.  John, you can camp at my house for as long as you like.  You can have your choice of two bedrooms and your own private bath.  I'll pick you up at the airport of your choosing and we will have two bikes to ride for as long as you are here...Jim   Smiley

Unless of course, I get back in the cockpit. I'm still intrigued by some of these LSA's on the market these days, might have to check them out. As yet, I haven't heard of an LSA dealer in the immediate Orlando area. I can't see where they would be much different than bouncing around the sky in a C-150.

John, don't sell the LSA's short.  I have one friend that flys an Aerostar low wing and another that has a Kit-Fox that he built.  I've ridden in both numerous times and they are far superior to the C-150 when it comes to climb and handling.  They burn a lot less fuel and fly just as fast.  Some of the later designs are really faster than the C-150 & C-152.  Of course, I nearly always ride my trusty Valkyrie out to the airport to make this post completely legal....Jim  Smiley
