I believe (and I could be wrong) it is the 1800 Wing spoiler that will fit.  I don't know about wiring in the signals into the spoiler brake light.  i would think that would take some extra wiring into the light to do that.  Should be an easy install...tap into the brake lights already in the trunk.

I would check ebay for the 1800 Wing spoilers.

the reason i broughtup the signals is i think there are aftermarket firms that may supply something and didn't want to turn them off.

Yes the 1800GL fits perfectly, 2000 to 2004, don't use later years. You can wire it for running or stop lights. When you drill the trunk lid, You can run the wires in the void between the outer and inner shell and come out at the hinge area and down thru to the tail lights and connect there.
Also forgot to mention, I place the templet about 4 3/4" from the rear of the speaker housing. Hope this helps.

I just completed this 2001-04 Gl 1800 spoiler addition today on my 2000 I/S.  I had trouble finding a spoiler until I came across http://motor55.com/ They shipped a spoiler in 6 days from Taiwan for 176.00 including shipping.  It is not OEM but I cannot tell the difference.

most of what i see are 1800 spoilers for 01-09 (not 04).  does anyone know if the new kury brake turn spoiler fits?  or simply is the 01-09 OK?  don't want to buy something that wont work.

I second motor55.com as they had one in black which is hard to find and at a decent price. You can get either clear or red lens' on the led's. I've yet to install it so I appreciate the post by 99 Red Diamond. Now, maybe I'll get the nerve to drill the holes!

I installed my spoiler/brake light on my IS trunk this weekend but have come to a halt while I decide how I should run the wires as I snake the wire to the brake light. It seems to me that there are at least three options:

1)run down along the lid retaining cable and then straight down through a hole into the cavity in the floor of the trunk
2)run the wire down at the lid hinge but still inside the trunk and then into the cavity in the floor of the trunk
3)run along the lid and out behind the armrest/speaker (new hole) and then either drill another new exterior hole to enter into the cavity in the floor of the trunk or just extend the wire to allow it to enter in the hole where the existing trunk wiring enters.

Method 1) and 2) both ways seem to have a chance of being pinched sooner or later.

Recommendations? How did anyone else do it? And would you do it the same way again?

If someone else doesn't chime in sooner, It'll be tomorrow (Monday) before I can take pics to show you how I ran mine. Hope you're not in a hurry.

I took this picture in a hurry this morning, hope this helps. The wiring comes thru the lid and is exposed for about 2", a second hole is drilled, but not completely thru the outer shell so that the wiring can be inserted between the outer and inner shells. I used a small guaged wire to pull the wiring thru a hole drilled near the hinges and passed behind the backrest pad and down the right side to the brake or running light wiring. I use brake, your choice. Good luck and ride safely.

Thanks a million! I ran the wire in the lid as you did and it worked slick. Since the led's only draw 100 ma I used small gauge wires as you did as well. It pops out at the right side of the hinge a couple of inches to the right of where yours does. I then drilled the lower shell pretty much below the hole in the lid. The wire drops straight down and I fished it through the hollow of the trunk bottom and back to the existing trunk wiring where I patched it in. It looks like the hinge might crush the wire but there is a gap when the lid is closed so the wire is safe. If you look closely you'll see a dimple in the molding on the lid and a corresponding one in the trunk liner and this is where I drilled. It's a stretch but I have to wonder if the original mold possibly had wiring in mind.

Glad to see it worked out for you, which did you connect to, running or brake lights? Don't worry bout those wires getting pinched, like you said they are thin and lid has a gap where they come out.
Ride safely.
