Bike Week 2010

My wife and I left our home on 2/26/10 at about 1:00 PM and we arrived at the Volusia County Fairgrounds at about 5:00 PM on 2/27/10 (our 22nd anniversary). We unloaded our bikes and called our daughter at Florida Tech so that she and her boyfriend could join us for dinner at the Artisan Inn in DeLand. The weather was cold but we were determined to ride to dinner. It was the coldest dinner ride we ever made (12.7 miles round trip) and we were so pleased to meet our daughter and her boyfriend.
We spent Saturday and most of Sunday with our daughter.
Sunday night Damselfly and I went to the "Cabbage Patch" for some biker entertainment.
Monday we rode the "Loop" and into Flagler Beach, had fresh clams, oysters, scallops, and grouper,....yum!
And then back to the "Main Street Circus".
And back to the "Cabbage Patch" for more entertainment.
We also met with some fellow VRCC members: as Jeff Christopher aka Chris CMA and his rebuilt Tourer.
We also met with an old freind and VRCC member from Stone Moutain GA. Frank Simpson (also a fellow 4 cylinder Goldwing afficianado)
We ran across several other celebreties too.
Michelle Smith
and Paul Teutel Sr. (he sorta looks like Willow doesn't he?)
It was cold but my wife kept me warm and somewhat orderly,...all in all a great vacation.

Momz, I got back on Sunday. I've been going 2x a year for about 15yrs and this was probably the smallest crowd. I think the cool weather and chances of rain kept people away. We had a group of 6 and had a good time no standing in line for anything.... Getting geared up for thunder on the beach next.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
