Hi guys, been a FREAKING long time eh?
Holy smokes! How have you been? I still remember your posting about polishing wheels with Mother's incredible billet aluminum polish. My hair was black at that time.  Grin
... and your tip about adding food coloring to your brake fluid when flushing the brakes. I had more coloring on me than in the brake system LOL! That couldn't be much later than 2003.

The odds are pretty good. If all checks OK, I would check the dimmer switch also.

I don't have my shop manual with me ... and I don't have an I/S ... but I'll take a wild guess (under the right side cover).

When mine went out it was caused by corrosion in the connection inside the fairing.  I had to clean the contacts.  You can get at this connection by removing the right speaker cover.

Thanks guys, I will check that out today, the worse is pulling the throttle cable loose and then out so I can get to the button.  I hope that's all it is.

I pulled both headlight connector off the bulbs, but which one are you referring too? is there another one in there i am missing.

As far as the rest, I have been doing good.  Got a tumor removed a year ago froma da brain.  That wasnt fun, but heck, I am still here so i cant complain.

The connection I am referring to is inside a soft plastic cover along with a lot of other wires inside the fairing.  It is a typical male/female terminal connector (a rectangular shape).  After the wires leave this connection they run up to the headlights.

I went though all the wiring right up to the head light and still nada. tapped on the lens and bang, it works. hasn't failed yet. weird. the bulbs check out fine.  I am still scratching my head. Thanks to everyone for helping Smiley
