Champion saddlebags and Honda saddlebag rails...compatable?

Well....are they? 

The Champion saddlebags look extremely close to the stock Tourer and Interstate bags...and I know they take their own mounts/system different from Honda's, but, will the Hondaline saddlebag rails work with the Champions?  Yes?  No?  Maybe?

No doubt...Yes ...They will fit my friend has the Champion saddlebags with Hondaline rails.



I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Thanks for the pic Joe.  But do you know if those are the 35 liter "Patriot" bags......and what's up the rear of his bag rails?  They look kinda.....droopy in the rear.  

Are the 35 liter sized Champion bags the same as the stock oem's?

I don't know what size they are just that they are Champion . I don't see the " droopy " his bikes are kept in top notch condition and the way thoses rails mount no way they could be droopy and still mount.

It's one of Punisher's Valkyrie's and yes he takes very good care of his equipment maybe better than anyone I've ever known.

I was glad to find this thread as I had assumed Honda rails wouldn't fit my Patriot bags. Is it a straight bolt on instalation or does it envolve fabricating, cutting or drilling? We know anything can be made to fit but I'm not up for a big project.
Does anyone recall one of our vendors, I believe Caralina Bike and Trike, made a copy of Honda rails? Looked on their web site and didn't see them. Now I know they'll fit I must have them but not a worn pair for big bucks.

The two photos I posted are of fabbed mounts.  You have to fab a mount for rail's center piece and you have to drill a hole in the bottom of the bags to attach the bottom rail mount.
