Our ride this month will begin in McKinney and take mostly backroads in a generally northeast direction.  Bring your passport because we'll start with Mexican breakfast, ride past Bugtussle on our way to Paris, and pass through Reno and Detroit before we reach our Italian lunch destination in historic downtown Clarksville.  We'll meet Daniel Meyer (and anyone else who shows up!) for lunch and then take tours of both the building on the square and The Old Vic he and the missus have purchased and are restoring.  Depending on where you need to return to, we can either hightail it back across 82 to Bonham and head south on 121 to I-75 in McKinney, or head south out of Paris toward Commerce and pick up I-30 in Greenville.

The route from McKinney to Clarksville is about 125 miles and calculates to take 2:40 with no stops.  We'll stop in Bugtussle for pictures, but there are no formal facilities there.  If we have to make a fuel / pit stop before Clarksville, we'll have to make it quick because the restaurant closes at 2:00 on Sundays.

Let's see.

32 degrees, halfway to Clarksville just to get to the meeting point, have to leave in the dark, going to miss Joel Olsteen's broadcast....

OK, I'm in (1).  I'll have to blow the dust off and charge up the battery, then will do the same to the Valk.

See you there.

Would rather be riding with you guys than what I will be doing.  Once again I get the privilege of demonstrating my proficency.  I get to be the star of a 60 minute video performing a complete physical examination on a willing volunteer.  I've only been doing this for 12 years and always enjoy getting to prove myself again.  I'll be soooooo glad when this stuff is over.  Ya'll ride safe.  Look forward to hearing bout it. How much fun can I have before I have to go to hell?

It's trite, but true - if you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait (in this case) a day or two.

High of 73 today.  8)     Chance of snow tomorrow.  :o     Forecast for Sunday low of 32-33, high of 50-52.  :tickedoff:

As of Friday the 19th, the forecast for Sunday the 28th is low of 55, high of 71.

So, after a number of off-board communiques, we are punting the ride this Sunday for one week.

New ride date is Sunday 28 March.  Same Valk time.  Same Valk channel.

I guess this pretty much confirms that algore does not ride a Valkyrie...  Or want anyone else to, for that matter, although a little fire breathing would come in handy 'bout now.
