I've never seen a set of Hard Krome pipes for sale before.  Michael J. Terry (friend and sponsor at this site) has a set for sale ending tomorrow (Wednesday) night.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this.  Maybe everyone is hoping no one else will notice and keep the bidding low.

This looks like a cobbled up set from the pics. I don't believe the header pipes looked that way originally. Still it's is a no reserve auction so they will sell for what the market will bear.

I've seen several Valks over the years with Hard Krome they are funky lookin' no doubt however they are not " cobbled " that's the way they looked when they left the mfg.I'm on the road and don't have pictures of the bikes I've seen with Hard Krome on my laptop but I'll try to remember when I come off the road to look'em up and post them in this thread.

I saw one here in Fla. where he had heated them just enough to bend them up at about a 45 deg. angle. Talk about a mean sounding bike, and really looked cool going up at an angle. Those suckers really cracked, more so than the Cobras.

Did you look at the picture of where the headers meet the chromed pipes? Surely they didn't look that way when they left the mfg., or maybe some covers are off. There has been a bike on e-bay for a while with these pipes on it but I don't know if I can snag a picture from it or not.

There is nothing cobbled about the pipes I am selling. just a bit blue. Other than that they will be great. I will have the bike at INZANE it is going too be SWEEEEEEET. I have all Rune controls on the handlebars! I just wanted to go a different direction with the exhaust to show off the chroem swingarm and highly polished rear end.

I have seen this guy and his bike in No VA a couple times.

Both times w/o a passenger, and he lays back like in a recliner.

No offense intended on my part about your pipes but the picture added by Vanagon40 shows what appears to be chrome header covers of the same size as the rear section of the pipes that I have always assumed were part of the set of pipes. I actually thought that HardChrome pipes were of a double wall construction.

No offense taken, no foul, no harm. Just made the post to clear up any confusion. To be frank, if there is any offense it is what the bidding is stuck at! These are arguably one of the most difficult Valk exhaust products to find!

Very interesting... I have thought about the Rune controls.
Could you please post a picture?

Thanks
