Anyone have one they're not using?

First my 550 went T/U and had to send it to Garmin.  A hundred and fifty dollars later they replaced it but now my motorcycle housing has gone bad.

Just thought I'd give it a try.

Thanks

Sorry but I resist using GPS on a scooter...and I did get lost on Saturday.
I am surprised that someone hasn't at least offered suggestions on where to get one. Check with Steamer, he has a 550 (I believe) but I don't know if he has a spare mount.

Not real up to date on the 550 is there a special mount or something or could you use a ram mount. I know the 550 is waterproof but they also have a box that you could put it in. Sorry if thats not what you are talking about !

I made my mount 8th" aluminum bar stock and polished it nice & shiny. And, it doesn't vibrate any more then the bars.
Different model of course! But, should be doable for just about anything.

Hey Thumper...  I think I have the original ram mount that came with my zumo 550.  I will check tomorrow when i go up to my storage unit and see if I can find it.

I installed risers on my bike that exposes the handle bar in the center and then I use a Kuryakyn accessory mount:

Here are the risers $126.00

And the Accessory Mount: 45.00

I like this setup better than the ram mount.  I will snap a picture of it tomorrow as well.

that is the lock...and lock only.  The OEM Zumo 550 mount is much more money.

I thought he said "ram mount" not "cradle".   I don't have the cradle I am using that to mount to the bracket above....  I guess I read the post wrong.

If your needing the cradle your going to spend another 60 bucks on one...

Sorry Thumper..   Undecided

just guessing from the original post what he was referring to.  He said "housing", so I figured he meant the cradle as opposed to the RAM assembly that mounts the cradle to the bike.

The whole setup is pricey...if you need to buy the wiring harness, RAM mount, lock, and cradle.  I ended up buying a second complete setup so I could use my Zumo on both my bikes.

Yea, I kind of dropped the ball on this one.

What I need is the cradle with the little brass pin thingies.

I thought there might be someone who had a Zumo 550 that died or something and might have the cradle.  One of the little brass pins in mine came off and the GPS will not run off of the bike power source.

Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet on this one.

Thanks for everyone's help! cooldude
