Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

The need for a FEED!

And to visit with a man who has become over many a mile and a smile more than a brother to me.  We couldn't post because things didn't firm up until about 10 this morning.  Since I leave out tomorrow for 2-3 weeks abroad (again), it was a time to meet, eat and greet - for sure and for certain.  Like he said when we were sharing a hug this morning, "Man, it seems like a year since we have seen each other."

Well, Hard6 and I had said that we would try and link up before I left and he had found this neat place in Crowley, so he told Ms Mary he was going for a ride and I talked Red into coming with me - so we caged it - she is not ready for the interstate yet and we rode the superslab on the way home.

On the way over, I took Red down some back roads so that she could see the way I would take her the next time we went and stay off the superslab.  Well, got to Crowley, Louisiana about 12:15 and sure recognized the bike out front....it was the Hard6.

JP had found this place called Joppe Courtyard Cafe and it was a very neat place.  People may remember seeing Crowley before - it was in the remake movie of The Blob.  It was made up to be in Colorado or something - but the downtown scenes were Crowley.

Well, for the next 2 hours or so.....let's just say that a LIE or two was told.  Even Red didn't mind pitching in her share of the lies and listening to some of our lies of the road together and baby, trust me, those were all lies.  I wasn't even near Dodge City, Kansas when that happened - promise.

What was it that I felt the need for?  Oh yeah, a FEED!  Awesome food, coffee and desert.

The hot bread pudding with rum sauce was to kill for.....The buns were home made with jalapeno peppers in the mix.

After two hours, Red said, "They are going to charge us rent if we stay any longer." so we went out front for some more lie telling (and whoppers they were) and some tire kicking.

Then, alas, we had to part with promises of more road trips and lie prepping in the future.

Got to wave Hard6 off, hit the superslab and back home where I cranked Traveler.  Didn't get any photos of Traveler since it was just to the cigarette shop and to pick up my blood pressure medication.  Ain't getting old hell?

Well, it was a GREAT DAY and a GRAND WAY to visit with an old friend again......

Safe winds JP!

Oh, and baby, not only was I not anywhere near Dodge City, I was in a completely different state when that happened in Custer too!!!!  Grin Grin Grin

Oh, I have missed your posts, brother.  Hope to see you sooner rather than later.  Trust you will come back home sooner this time too.  You know, I have been known to ride over to Pat's for a lunch.  (As long as I don't make it a day early).

Looking forward to sharing wind again.

Didn't get any photos of Traveler since it was just to the cigarette shop and to pick up my blood pressure medication.

Oh...the irony  Undecided

You could buy a second Valk with the money you save on quitting the cigarettes, which may mean your BP would return to normal.

Smoking-related illnesses claim more American lives than alcohol, car accidents, suicide, AIDS, homicide and illegal drugs combined.

Most of the smokers are willing to stop smoking and would do so if they could only find the will power. Yet smoking causes serious physical problems to those people who have smoked for a long period of time which can result in physical disability and even death.

The more you smoke, the higher the nicotine level is in your blood, and the higher your blood pressure. This accounts to a large extent for the great increase in brain attacks, heart attacks, and pain in the legs due to poor circulation in smokers, sometimes leading to amputation.

Most people know there is a definite relationship between smoking and lung cancer, yet it appears few are aware of the proven relation between smoking, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease, yet there have been several studies on the links between smoking and the higher risk factors of smokers being predisposed to cardiovascular disease.

Numerous studies have shown that smoking or chewing tobacco raises blood pressure and that when you stop using tobacco products, your blood pressure falls. The latest such study in the Journal of Hypertension (February 2002) comes from France.

Out of 12,417 men who were current smokers, previous smokers, and never smokers, current smokers had the highest prevalence of high blood pressure.

Previous smokers had a lower prevalence with the highest rate of high blood pressure in those who had recently stopped and had smoked for the longest time. Those who had never started smoking had the lowest prevalence of high blood pressure. Do you need more evidence than that?

Cigarettes contain both nicotine and carbon monoxide both of which are proved to be highly dangerous substances, yet people continue to put these unhealthy “sticks” into their mouth and inhale the poisonous fumes into their body.

Ia this little item not a plant grown in the soil.

Well techniquelly, you are just a smoking vegetarian.

Smoking plants how could that be bad for yah,,

Tobacco was discovered in America by the Indians.

The first settlers said that the Indians used it liberally and had little illness.

Maybe it was the white man that engineered this little treat to the point it is today,.

A nicotene delivery sytem that is more powerful than the original plant.

Science is so good to us.

Of course one 6th of the US Economy is driven by sick people like me.

So if we were all healthy a lot more people would be out of work.

I believe we are in a quandry.

Just being fececious, everyone knows smoking is bad for you and they should quit.

But Hollywood promoted it and why not be Kool and Smoke Kools Cigerettes
